Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026
This is the beta version of our terms. We will update it as the service grows, and tell you about material changes.
By creating an account or using Second Summit you agree to these terms.
1. The service
We help you find job postings, score them against your resume, and draft resumes and cover letters. We are a tool. We do not employ you, represent you to employers, apply on your behalf, or guarantee interviews or offers.
2. Eligibility
You are 18 or older and in the United States.
3. Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account.
4. Free trial and billing
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card. After the trial, using the paid features requires a subscription at $10 per month during beta, billed monthly and renewing until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings; access continues to the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund partial months unless the law requires it. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of your resume, answers and documents. You give us permission to store and process them, including sending the text needed to our AI and infrastructure providers, only to provide the service to you. You confirm that what you upload is yours to use and is truthful.
6. AI output
Scores, summaries, resumes and letters are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Review everything before sending it anywhere. You are responsible for what you submit to employers. We do not guarantee that a score reflects how an employer will see you or that an applicant tracking system will accept a document.
7. Job postings
Postings come from third parties and may be out of date, closed, inaccurate or removed. We link to the original posting; the employer's terms apply to any application. We are not responsible for employers or their decisions.
8. Acceptable use
No illegal use. No scraping or bulk copying of the service or its job data, and no reselling or redistributing job data. No attempts to bypass limits or security, no sharing accounts, and no uploading other people's personal information without permission.
9. Limits
AI features have daily usage limits to keep the service sustainable. We may adjust them.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim for reliable service but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
14. Changes to these terms
We will post updates and notify you of material changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept them.
