Where your photo goes
Free editor: nowhere. Everything happens in your browser and your photo never leaves your device. The first time you use it, the editing tools download to your browser (about 20 MB, once); your photo is not part of that.
Pro look: your photo goes to us and then to an AI image provider, only when you press the button, and only after you confirm it is your own photo and agree to send it. We delete it as soon as your picture starts being made; the finished picture is deleted when you download it, and at the latest within an hour. Our own logs do not contain it. Our AI image provider keeps prompts and responses for up to 55 days to check for misuse and says it does not use them to improve its products. Who our service providers are.

Is the headshot maker free?
Yes. The free headshot editor is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Do I need to sign up?
Not for the free editor. Pro look needs a free account so we can apply daily limits.
Does the free editor use AI?
No. It changes the background, framing, light, colour, and skin and teeth only if you move those sliders. Finding your face and cutting you out of the background run on your device.
What does Pro look do that the free editor cannot?
It can change your outfit colour and give you a studio-style backdrop and light, by making a new version of your real photo with AI. Every picture is labelled "Edited with AI".
How much is Pro look?
Pro look comes in packs of 3 sessions for $29, paid once, with no subscription. One session makes up to 4 looks. You see every picture before you use it, and you can try each look again once, free.
Will it look like me?
The free editor keeps your photo as it is and changes only what you set. Pro look redraws the picture. We ask it not to change your face shape or features, and we check the result on your device, but small details, such as the width of a nose or the colour of your eyes, can look slightly different. Look at every picture next to your photo and do not use one that does not look like you.
Who owns the pictures?
You do. Yours to use anywhere. We do not claim any rights.
Can I put it on my resume?
Usually not in the United States. Read why, and where a headshot does belong.
What size for LinkedIn?
The free editor makes a 400 by 400 and a 1000 by 1000 LinkedIn photo and a banner. See LinkedIn's limits.
How do I delete my photo?
In the free editor, press "Delete my photos". It removes your original and every file from your device. In Pro look, we delete your photo as soon as your picture starts being made, and the finished picture when you download it, and at the latest within an hour.
What if pictures are not available today?
Some days our image provider reaches its daily limit. If that happens, pictures wait until the next day, and your session is still yours; you are not charged for it.
